Beautiful Hope

I absolutely loved this session with the lovely Hope!  She is so much fun, and was totally willing to stand in a stained-glass church window ledge for me!  Also, we both decided that we don’t know what we’re going to be when we grow up.:)

I wish Hope all the best for her upcoming senior year!

New product! Canvas Gallery Wrap Blocks!

I am SO in love with this brand new product! I have loved canvas gallery wraps for a long time (my own walls are proof of this!) but this product is just so beautiful I had to blog about it. The differences between a regular gallery wrap on stretched canvas and this product are not completely obvious until you handle them both. I will say that when I took this out of the box, I gasped because it was so beautiful.

With a traditional gallery wrap, the canvas is stretched tightly around a frame. I offer Giclee stretched canvas gallery wraps, as they are unmatched in canvas quality, print quality, and archival beauty (Giclee is a print technique in which the ink is sprayed directly onto the canvas. Most “canvases” are really paper prints which have been glued to canvas material, thus, the ink is not imbued into the canvas itself. I currently have two types of canvas products available: frameable canvas art prints and Giclee gallery wraps).  Traditional gallery wraps are also rather delicate in nature. However, this product is a little different.  Instead of stretching the canvas (I am assuming it not Giclee canvas) around an open frame, the canvas is mounted and stretched around a solid block of wood.  This means that the canvas is very tightly wrapped around the wood and will not ever sag. It is heavier and much sturdier than a traditional gallery wrap. In my mind it would be ideal for children’s rooms, family rooms, kitchens, etc. – places where I would never recommend a Giclee.

The finish on these wraps is just beautiful and I am proud to add these to my product offerings.  In fact, I am ordering another canvas gallery wrap block tonight of my son!

Have a look for yourself, and contact me if you would like one of your own!
