Nicholas and Grace

This was one of those amazing sessions where everything was perfect and I practically ran home to download the pictures off my card.  We did the shoot in the fabulous yard of the kids’ grandmother, and the light was just wonderful, mostly because we were shooting in between little rain showers.  Everything was so green and lush! The kids’ mom brought a ton of clothes for me to pick from, which I always love.  And I was so excited when I was asked to create a “flower fairy” portrait of Grace!  She loves flower fairies and so do I - my own daughter has flower fairy stencils in her room.

Nicholas and Grace are so adorable and we had lots of fun just wandering around.  They play together beautifully and went along with all my silly games.  And in the end, we didn’t even get rained on!

Callum, Catey Beth, and Connor

Connor is growing up so fast!  It seems like just yesterday when I took pictures of him as a newborn, and here he is, already 7 months old!  Callum and Catey Beth are adorable too, and we all had a lot of fun on a slightly chilly and very windy shoot at the Experiment Station.  Catey Beth brought her doll carriage, Callum brought his scooter, and Connor had a bowl to sit in, so everyone was happy.

Baby Graham - 7 months old

I can’t believe how fast baby Graham is growing up! He is THE happiest baby ever. We did this shoot at the Experiment Station, one of my favorite spots for spring and summer pictures.  And what a gorgeous day it was.  Perfect weather, beautiful morning light, and cherry trees in full bloom.

Will and Rachel

I had such fun taking pictures of Will and Rachel at their beautiful home.  I love doing senior shoots (well, Rachel’s not a senior quite yet) and the light was just perfect that morning!  Rachel is quite a good photographer herself, and Will is a guitarist.  I just love artistic people.

We interrupt this blog…

To bring you more pictures of my kids in the snow… Yes, I know it is now spring but I am so in love with these Narnia-like images that I wanted to post them before I forgot.

I am SO excited.  I have just picked up my 20×30 gallery wraps of several of these images and they are just stunning on the wall.

Soon I’m going to add a products page to the blog so you can see what the final images look like on the wall.  Gallery wraps are definitely my favorite.  I wonder how many more I can even fit on my walls?  I love them because they look so clean and modern, but fit into almost any decor.  And an added benefit is they do not need to be framed, so no extra costs involved!

The weather today was extremely beautiful - spring is here at last!  I played outside all afternoon with my kids and I’m just itching to plant flowers.  The snow seems so long ago, and I’m happy I made the time to take these pictures so I can always remember how magical those snow days were.

Harley Madison, 9 months

Harley is growing up so fast, and she is SO sweet.  We had a sunny but rather chilly day to shoot pictures, so we mostly stayed inside Harley’s beautiful home, where the light is so pretty.  Here are some images from our recent session…

Josie’s First Birthday

Beautiful baby Kate

I have been remiss on my blogging lately, so I’m doing some catching up this week.  I was honored to take pictures of beautiful baby Kate a few weeks ago, and what a sweet baby she is!  I love taking pictures of newborns - with every shoot I am taken back to those precious weeks after my own children were born. 

So here is sweet Kate with her loving family around her.  What a lucky little one to be loved so much by so many people.

Sunset Snow

I decided to do a quick backyard shoot of my daughter in her red coat before the snow melts away tomorrow  - I’m so glad I did!  We ended up out there right at sunset. I didn’t even realize it was that late in the day and the light was so pretty.   We have been snowed in for three days and have spent every minute either outside playing in the snow or inside eating and sleeping.  What a wonderful weekend!
