More Snow Pics

March 12th, 2008

Here are some more snow pictures for you. Some of these have been developed in a new finish I’ve been working on called Alabaster. Can you tell which they are?

If you look closely at this picture, you can see the huge tear at Caroline’s eye (See previous post for details). It’s like she’s thinking, ‘When I open my eyes, all that white stuff will be gone… I’m wishing it away!”

William’s best friend and his sister came over to sled down our big hill and eat icicles.

SNOW!!!

March 11th, 2008

I was so excited when I heard it was finally, now that it’s March, going to snow. I had visions of my little Caroline gazing in wonder at all that snow - her first ever glimpse of the stuff - and laughing, catchlights in her eyes and snowflakes in her eyelashes. This was my idealistic Snow Day with the Baby. Would you like to see how her first ever experience with snow went?

She really did not like the snow. The most I can say is that after a little while she got used to looking at it while being held, but woe to the person who tried to actually allow any part of her body to touch the stuff. She was very very serious about the whole thing.

William, in his own words, had “the best day of my whole life, Mommy!”. When the snow really started coming down on Friday evening, William wanted to go rescue all the daffodils from the snow. He took his job seriously and picked almost all of them, but I didn’t mind. They are still so very pretty in their vases!

Caroline stayed on the sled for about two pictures’ worth until the tears started…

I’m sure by next week I’ll have pictures posted of the kids in their bathing suits playing in the sprinkler. This weather is so confusing…

Sadie Lea

March 7th, 2008

Here are a few photos from my recent session with the incredible Miss Sadie Lea. Her parents are the hippest, coolest people imaginable! They have recently adopted Sadie and they are all so full of love for her - it was beautiful to see. I had such fun shooting pictures in their very old farmhouse which was FULL of light. All around, it was a photographer’s dream.

retrospective

March 5th, 2008

I thought I would post some images from two sessions back in the fall, so you can get a look at them. I was so in love with the leaves!

New sneak-peek images from recent sessions are coming up soon, so check back!

Charlie and Stella

March 4th, 2008

Charlie and Stella are SO adorable. Their mom picked out the perfect clothes for them to wear for this shoot - the blues and greens really stood out against the fall leaves. We had a great time wandering through the trees at this park.
