Snow!!!
We got lots of snow yesterday (anywhere from 6-9 inches to 20 feet depending on who you ask) and so we have spent the last 2 days playing in the snow! It has been a WONDERFUL respite being snowed in with my kids and I have enjoyed working on pictures of them. I have decided that snow days are necessary for the soul.

OK, time to go in…

Josie Kate, 6 months. And “lemons”, part deux…
I can’t believe how fast little Josie Kate has grown! It really does seem like yesterday when I took her pictures in the hospital after she was born. What a beautiful girl she is, just like her Mom. One of my favorite things about doing Baby’s First Year packages is that I really get to know the family, and the kids become comfortable with me so much faster every time I visit.
Josie’s mom was worried we wouldn’t get many smiles, but she was proved wrong since pretty much all Josie did was give me huge smiles. It’s hard to cull images down when they are all so good.
Look how much Josie has grown!

When Josie was 3 months old, we took pictures of her lying in a big bowl full of lemons which was on the dining room table. I like that Josie’s mom lets me do anything, no matter how strange it may seem at the time. The picture turned out to be SO cute though… here it is, from 3 months ago:

Now Josie and Jacob love to play with the bowl of lemons every day.

But even a day of smiles has to end sometime. Eventually Josie had enough of the paparazzi:

Next time I see this sweet little girl she’ll be trying to walk. Wow.

Of all the newborns I have photographed, baby Jack was most certainly the sleepiest, and most definitely one of the cutest! He was just wonderful, and slept almost the entire session, which allowed us to place him anywhere we needed. It is so hard for me to stop taking pictures when they are this adorable, and I took way too many pictures at this session.
Jack’s wonderful parents simply adore him, and they are so lucky to have him in their lives. There is nothing sweeter than a newborn baby.

Coming up next: Sweet Josie Kate, 6 months old.
